About the Event

This will be an education packed evening with two birth and postpartum pros, Kayla Williams, pelvic floor physiotherapist and birth and postpartum doula, Christa Duquette (PS- these 2 are a big part of our Olds team, so if you're looking to get to know them a bit more, this is a great chance). 

Topics covered will include: Pelvic floor preparation, breathing strategies, pelvic floor lengthening and prep, perineum massage Labour and Delivery education will include: SOGC current guidelines for laboring during a pandemic, role of the support person,     1st stage of labor positioning, and pushing and positioning for 2nd stage. Breastfeeding topics will include SOGC guidelines during a pandemic, history and context of breastfeeding, latch and positioning, treatment strategies for engorgment, mastitis and sores.
